Working with Blocks and Elements

Overview

Blocks and elements are the building components of your Landing Pad Digital website. Elements are individual items like buttons or images, while blocks are pre-designed sections containing multiple elements. Understanding how to work with both gives you complete creative control.

Understanding the Difference

Elements: Individual components you add one at a time:

  • Text (headlines, paragraphs)

  • Images

  • Buttons

  • Videos

  • Forms

  • Icons

  • Spacers

  • Dividers

  • Maps

  • Social media feeds

Blocks: Pre-designed sections containing multiple elements:

  • Hero sections (large header with image and CTA)

  • Feature grids (showcasing services or products)

  • Testimonial sections

  • Team member showcases

  • Pricing tables

  • Gallery layouts

  • Contact forms with maps

  • Footer sections

Adding Elements to Your Page

Drag and Drop

  1. Open the left sidebar

  2. Click "+" icon

  3. Find your desired element

  4. Click and drag it onto your page

  5. Drop it where you want it

  6. Release to place

Working with Blocks

Browsing the Block Library

Categories:

  • Headers/Heroes: Eye-catching top sections with headlines and CTAs

  • Features: Showcase services or product benefits

  • About/Story: Tell your brand story or company history

  • Testimonials: Customer reviews and social proof

  • Team: Staff profiles and bios

  • Portfolio/Gallery: Visual work showcases

  • Pricing: Pricing tables and comparison charts

  • FAQ: Accordion-style question sections

  • Contact: Forms, maps, and contact information

  • Footers: Bottom sections with links and legal info

Adding Blocks to Your Page

Between Sections

  1. Hover between two existing sections

  2. Click the "+" button that appears

  3. Select "Blocks"

  4. Choose and insert your block

Rearranging Block Content

  • Drag elements to reorder within the block

  • Use alignment tools in the toolbar

  • Adjust spacing between elements

Saving Your Own Blocks

Once you've designed a section you love:

  1. Click the section to select the entire block

  2. Select "Save" the heart icon

  3. Your block will be saved to your personal library for reuse

Managing Saved Blocks

  1. Hover between two existing sections

  2. Click the "+" button that appears

  3. Select "Saved Blocks"

  4. Choose and insert your saved block

Sharing Blocks (Pro/Premium)

  • Share with team members

  • Create template libraries for clients

  • Export/import blocks between projects
